Flight Ops Day, 17 September

Squadron 150 held it's third flight operations exercise in 2005 on Saturday, allowing for many of the squadron's members to achieve new ratings, and to provide recurrent training for others.

With three aircraft, the one day event was a total success and went without incident. Numerous grids were flown in different areas of Southern California, with all aircraft in close communication with the base staff located back at Long Beach Airport.

These training exercises included a practice ELT beacon, different search techniques in differing types of terrain, and one aircrew was even tasked with locating a known aircraft wreck near the Santa Paula area.
